That's really bad of them, just hope you don't have any problems as the damage was found after it left the shop. Obviously they've done it but you know what they can be like.  best of luck keep us all informed.

I've done lowering jobs by myself and let me tell you it's not the easiest task to do.
Sometimes things fly off or tools slip from hands, and the bike gets hit.

Hi guys, Sorry I have been slack - been moving house....

It was a Suzuki dealer that did the job. It is going back to them this week and at the very least I want a replacement grey part.

I am also not happy that the Powerbronze web site clearly states that I should have gotten 30 -50mm of lowering with the 'kit' installed and I have only gained 20mm??? It is still too high and so now I have to have the seat done as well, which is OK cause I always knew it may be on the cards BUT I bought this bike on the strength that with a 30mm lowering kit and another 20mm on seat sculpting it would fit me. Now I am reliant on the upholsterer being able to take out 30mm, instead of just 20mm, to make it right! I am not happy and will be emailing Powerbronze in 5mins to ask them what has happened.

Having said that I took it for a ride (200km) yesterday and whilst very nerve wracking coping with the Easter traffic on the main highway, I did ok...well that is what Husband says anyway....

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your first long ride.

And about your lowering issue: Have you tried to reduce the spring tension of the rear suspension? Your bike comes with a special tool for that action. Check your user manual for explanation on the procedure, and set it to one and check for any difference.

Be careful when you take your seat to the sculptor. My brother has lowered 2 seats: a Kawa KLR650 with awesome results and his current V-Strom 650 (not so good) Make sure you have some foam removed from the top and from the sides as well. If your buttocks are lowered but your inner tights are raised by the borders of the seat, you'll end up with shorter legs.

I'm 5'6" (1.67m) in my socks but I can still sit on my 'Zuma with both feet flat on the floor.

I would not alter the seat as there is not much to remove anyway.
Did you try removing the seat and sitting on your bike just to get some idea? worth a try.
