Hey Grumpy, I just thought I'd add that I'm not 'bikeless' hence the non urgency. My bike is a 1980 'W' reg Honda CB400N Superdream which I've owned since 1987. It has carried me all over the UK & much of Europe but I am now wanting to retire it to a life less hard. It's replacement will be expected to last me a long time!

Blimey, I had a 400-4, when the 250 / 400 Dream came out.

Wish I'd still got that - tho it'd have some serious miles on it by now

Aah, now your talking, a 'proper' bike! My motorcycling has been stuck in the '70's and early '80's...in fact I haven't owned anything newer than an '82 750 Honda that I've recently parted with...and am currently pootling about on a '76 CJ250 Honda that I've owned for 17 years. I don't always enjoy the best of health, which is why I parted with the 750, I'd nearly dropped it several times, and wanted something small, light, and with modern brakes and suspension to cope better with the state of the roads these days.

I was initially looking for a nice GS500 Suzuki but couldn't find one that wasn't already starting to rot away, then realised that a new Inazuma wasn't much more than I was budgeting on...and the last new bike I bought was a Suzuki GSX250, back in '81, so that seems to complete a circle, somehow!
