Hi everyone - I've had my Inazuma (a black GW250F) for about three weeks, covered a bit over 1200 miles and am very pleased with it.

It'll be accompanying me on my daily commute to London and back from Hertfordshire (about 50 miles) during the week and anywhere else I can wangle the time off to go at the weekend!

I'd still call myself a new rider; my previous machine was a '08 Honda Innova ANF125i.  A lovely little bike, but after riding right across France and Spain in June I just about killed the poor machine (that and the 20,000 miles I did in the previous two years of ownership!) I figured the Inazuma would make a good step up and for me perfectly mixes power (vs. 125cc's anyway!), practicality and economy.

Welcome to the forum, Adam!  I think you're the first here with an 'F' model, I'd be very interested in your thoughts on how the fairing performs, ie level of wind protection, wind noise and turbulance, etc.

Hi everyone, for being so bad at getting back and saying hello and thanks for the kind welcomes. 

Mrs H came back from her holiday and decided that all our bedroom furniture needed replacing and that was my free time gone for a while.

I did try one interesting trick in my time away and that was attempting to ride the Inazuma without removing a disc lock.  I've discovered it makes a very good anti-theft device; if a rather costly discovery. 

A new front calliper, disc, lever and I'm all back together again (I'd highly recommend a mobile mechanic in London trading under the business name of Omniflow BTW!).  If that counts as a spill, then hopefully (statistically) I'm good for a while now.

Grumpy - to answer your question but without a lot to compare to, I'm finding the fairing pretty good.  Having seen YT videos of the standard Inazuma on the motorway before purchase and hoping it would be better, yes - it appears much more comfortable than that poor chap looked on his naked model.  Noise isn't bad (I'm wearing plugs anyway!) and the buffeting isn't that bad at 70 (or above  ), especially if you lean forward a little. I've ridden good stretches of the M3, M25, M40 as well as plenty of dual carriageway and not worried about being blown off the road anywhere yet.

If I had one complaint, it would be that the screen isn't quite high enough for a proper touring screen.  You do have to lean a bit to get behind it and I wouldn't want to do it for an hour or more.  I suppose I'll have to make do as I can't imagine the GW250F being popular to get its own set of after-market accessories (some sliders would be nice especially after my security testing antics too).

I will be putting some hand guards on to protect forearms  - I'm considering the Acerbis X-Tarmac but am not sure whether to get the glowing version or not and also need to make sure they won't clip the fairing when on full lock.

Pat - good to see another former Innova owner made it onto an Inazuma!  Maybe you had the carbbed model? The FI version after 2007 had a much better seat.  I was covering up to 300 miles a day on it without it affecting my gait too much 

If the attachment has worked (and I'm allowed to add one on my second post!) you'll see my machine in 'full touring mode' as I like to call it - though 'off to the shops' is likely more accurate.

Two questions: Does anyone else find it ridiculously easy to leave parking lights on? and Is it my bike or does everyone have trouble getting to first from neutral occasionally?

Yes it is easy to leave parking lights on but I always check 
I found it was difficult to find neutral from first but the more the bike is used it does get easier.
