The red baby is a demo bike. I'm afraid it's shown up other defects on my original bike. Firstly, she brakes smooth as silk. My original bike judders under (relatively) hard deceleration. Secondly, my original bike hesitates on throttle for a second or two before aceleration. I was told this was due to a new tight engine, but my original has 400 on the clock, the demo 180, so it can't be the new tight engine. Sadly, the demo bike whilst so better in many respects, has no dipped beam, just full beam, with the two pinpoint lights on dip. A small point, but not too good for confidence.  I'm beginning to wonder if Japanese bikes should all be built in Japan?

Wow, that is some bad luck. I've never had any hesitation in the throttle or shudders from the brakes. I've been thoroughly happy with my little bike. I would be taking the bike back and getting it looked at by the dealer and if that fails the next nearest Suzuki dealer, because you've paid for a great bike and shouldn't have these sorts of issues.

It sounds like you're having more than your fair share of problems, oiler! As Rucifa suggested, is there another Suzuki dealer you can get the bike to? The present one doesn't seem to have much of an idea...sending a demo' bike out in less than perfect condition is a joke! If you're not satisfied when you get your bike back I'd get on to Suzuki customer services and see what they have to say!
