Good find mate but Ive heard that sometimes thieves will just cut through the strap on your helmet if somebody wants something so bad they'll go to any lengths.

An idea I thought about to avoid having your helmet stolen by just cutting the strap is this:

Have a small chain or security cable and loop it through the front face/chin section of the actual helmet (obviously only applies to full-face) and fasten it to somewhere on the bike, like the rear passenger handle rail. Now of course even chains and security cables are not full proof, but I figured that it's less likely to get stolen this way, as aposed to the thief just cutting the strap to release it from the lock. Just an idea...

Why not use one of the two helmet lock bars, built in under the seat?  I know you have to remove the seat and slide it back on, but you already have the key, and its free. 

I can't use a regular helmet lock, since my helmet came with a quick release instead of D rings.

I use a cable & padlock the helmets to the grab rail or a wheel.

A helmet with a cut strap is useless to anyone, but not sure whether that occurs to the brainless muppets who feel the need to pinch anything they can

  and I wouldn't be surprised even if someone was so stupid to cut a strap to steal an helmet.
