    Hey from Georgia

    Hey, good evening all.

I am new to riding. Just passed the BRC today at the Honda Rider Education center. It was my first time on a bike. Had lots of fun and learned a lot. I recommend it to any newbie.

I'm not looking to break land speed records, scrape my knee on corners or cruise to California. I just want to get out of the house and meander around the area and enjoy being out, with an occasional trek to work. I had narrowed my first bike down to two Suzukis. TU250x and the GW250. They're both around the same price. I am not a fan of the sportbike or cruiser styles. Standards look pretty attractive to me.

Looks like I will be getting the GW. I am getting a good deal on it. The closest TU250 is around a thousand bucks more. Hard to argue with saving $1000. Hope to be getting it soon and having fun on the roads.

Anyways, its great to be here and look forward to learning some stuff and having some fun.

     :400: 2tonegator,

I've had my gw for a few weeks now and it is great. It's my first bike and like you I'm new to riding. It is really easy to ride and once you are out of the break in period it has enough get up and go to make it highway capable. Im 6' 1" and not a slender fella and I'm really comfortable on the bike.

    Have fun!

:400: Like you, the GW250 is my first bike. I was looking at the TU250, but the GW fit so much better. 6 ft 2in, 200+pounds and 60 years young.  You may find your self driving to work more often than you think.  The GW makes a boring drive fun. :152:

Hi, welcome to the group.  :002:  I don't know much about the TU250, it was never officially imported to the UK, but it may be getting a bit 'long in the tooth' where the Inazuma is a more up to date design. Also, the TU is less powerful, but significantly lighter, and has more of a 'retro' look about it. We're probably a bit biased around here, but Inazuma every time!  :152:

Thanks all for the warm welcome.  Went to dds and got my license today.  I couldn't help smiling and being downright giddy when she said I could legally ride now.  So excited. Haha. :001: :046: :082:
