I find this an interesting thread, and a bit of an eyeopener! It really does seem like a lottery as to how much you'll be charged for servicing and doesn't reflect well on Suzuki...although I suspect other motorcycle company's are the same. I drive an Audi and all official Audi dealers (UK) use the same fixed price servicing so you know where you stand at any dealer you take your car to. They even have discounted service rates for cars over 3 years old (IE out of warranty) to encourage you stick with the franchised dealer network and use genuine parts. Given that our Inazuma’s need so much servicing, probably too much for a budget commuter bike, if Suzuki could get the dealer group to sort out sensible servicing charges it could turn a great bike in to a brilliant bike! <climbs off of soap box>  :157:

Well wrote Grumpy, but dont forget you dont have to get it serviced by Suzuki and I agree not ALL Suzuki dealers sing from the same hymn sheet.

I had a centre stand put on mine at the same time as the service, and the bill was £280 at millenium motorcycles in St. Helens

It was scoot, nearly flippin cried! Was quoted over 300, but the centre stand was on offer! As you can imagine, I was flavour of the month at home after telling the wife how cheap it was to get one!

I paid £60 for centre stand fitted, as I said it depends where you take your bike, I am taking mine to a local guy who is doing my next service 3000 including my tappets without oil he is charging £60 and stamping my book.

Hello my bike has had its first service today and it cost me £96.33 witch I am happy with as I was lent a lone bike for the day free of charge. I bought my bike on a Suzuki run demo day from C J Ball Norwich and a centre stand ,carrier and top box were included in the deal.

I got my first service free when I bought the bike. My second service was £115. I'll probably be having the 3rd service done at the end of the summer.
