No worries, grumpy. I just left it open. If I do upgrade to a different muffler, I'd probably plug one side. And I haven't noticed any performance differences since taking one off. Although I'm no expert so I don't know if I'd be able to notice any subtle differences anyway.

That's good, I thought it might have decreased the low and midrange performance...perhaps the fuel injection system compensates to sort it out.

It would depend where the O2 sensor is located for the EFI, it is most likely before the cat so unlikely to be effected (depending on back pressures)

Good point...just had a look at the parts book and the sensor is at the front of the collector box, but maybe effected by back pressure (or lack of, with one muffler missing)? I've no experience with EFI on bikes but remember, back in the day, problems with putting 4:1 pipes on Japanese UJM's and apart from making a lot of noise and 'feeling' faster, it often ruined the low and mid range performance unless you spent a lot of time and effort trying to sort the carburetion out...stock pipes nearly always gave the best all-round performance.

Hi...sorry guys, have been too flat out with Uni stuff to take pics..... seat is good but still no flat foot on the ground. Have some thick soled work boots ordered for when I ride it to work eventually so perhaps they will help. Other then that I will just have to put my big girls pants on and deal with it.

Hi guys...sorry I have been so slack..

The lowering is all finished and by buying myself a big chunky pair of boots I can now comfortably get one foot down....

I shall put some pics up soon...I need to get husband to take them.
