She Lives!

After a 5 month lay-up I dragged Gwen, my Inazuma, from the recesses of the garage, shooed of the spiders that were resting peacefully and gave her her first run-out of the year. This wont be of much interest to the hardened all year round road warriors on here, but for any other fair weather softies like me, you may like to know that the start up was very easy after all this time...I charged the battery yesterday, which took a surprisingly short time, so it hadn't lost a lot of charge over winter, switched on the ignition and waited for the dials to do their dance and the appropriate lights to go off and on, then barely touched the starter button and she fired up immediately and settled down to a steady idle...I was suitably impressed! 

A 30 odd mile run left a big grin on my face and reminded me what a super little bike Inazuma’s are, and I'm looking forward to clocking up some more miles this year and finishing the running-in (nearly 800 miles now)!

I see there's been lots of new members since my last visit, some from some exotic sounding locations, so a big wave to all you folks!
