Auto chain oiler

As I've managed to kill a chain in less  than 7k miles, decided to fit an auto oiler

Didn't fancy connecting a Scottoiler, as they have to be connected to the induction system.

Friend with a Triumph recommended a Tutoro.
It's a similar price to Scottoilers, tho there are cheaper, manual models aswell

Spent a few hours fitting it today. Took the L/H silencer, footrest assembly and all the L/H panels off, to give better access for attaching the pipework.
I also ignored the supplied brackets. Made up an ally bracket, fitted a longer bolt to the pillion footrest and fastened it on the back.

Looks quite neat I think, hopefully it'll help the chain against the worst the weather can throw at it

Looks nice job Rob how do you adjust flow? is it gravity feed.

And if it is with gravity how you stop the flow when the bike is parked????

It is gravity fed.

When the bike's moving, there's a valve inside the main body that moves off it's seat and allows oil to flow. You can adjust the rate with the knob at the bottom. When the bike's stationary, the valve drops onto it's seat and cuts off the oil supply.

There are cheaper, manual versions, but you have to turn the oil off when you park

How many km you are able to do with this until is over???

I think they are a good idea when you use bike every day Rob, but being a fine weather rider I like to do it myself

Scoot  It's the first time I've used one - wrecking a chain over the winter was the incentive for me.

Not sure how long the reservoir will last.
According to the website, at the recommended 1 drop / minute, it should last 30 hours, which should be plenty 

If it works as well as claimed, I might put one on the Triumph, where I might need to top up, if away on holiday etc
