Upcoming project: Front/Rear fenders + exhaust

Hi all,

I've been reading a lot about tidying up the front and rear fenders. For the rear I think I will be buying the kit from Bestem USA (user speedandstyle has created a thread about this one), if not I might go with this approach. I'm not sure about the indicators with Bestem's kit, they look really small and don't know if NZ road-legal...

Anywho, regarding the front fender, I've been thinking a lot about cutting it sharp with a circular saw. See attachments, I'm thinking about cutting along the white-dotted line. I would only be using the top screws and no more the side screws.
Do you guys have any advice about this job? I can't really be asked to throw NZ$600 into a new fender... If I ever spend that much it would be for a new exhaust, and even then, for now I will just drill the rear plate of the exhaust (as per Striker and Scoot advices).

Regarding the exhausts, what's your guys take on getting rid of one of them and sealing its hole? Leaving only the right exhaust with its rear plate pierced for example..

Hey,

For anyone that might be interested, note that you can run the front fender backwards. With a very little bit of work it'll fit perfectly. I'm still thinking about cutting it off though..

Very impressed looks much better and saves buying a fenda extender well done, and he has removed the stupid sticker from the rear

Maybe there was a manufacturing error and it was supposed to be like that all along

I can't reverse it, When i put the crash bar, I scratched the paint from the back of the fender, So if i reverse it, the scratch will be on the front. I have to paint it first.

Wow what a great idea for the front fender. So it just unscrews and turns around as easy as that? That's the front lower engine protected from splash then :-)

Great idea with the mudguard (I thought Fenders were guitars??? ) You don't happen to have some more photos showing it at different angles do you?

Also can this be done without taking the wheel off?
