    Pulsing vibration@steady RPMs

    Hi everyone,

My name's Isaiah. I'm from New Zealand, but I'm currently living in China, where I work as an English teacher. I recently bought a 2014 Suzuki GW250 with just under 15,000 km on the clock.

I have a couple of questions.

The first is about a vibration issue. When I'm riding at a steady RPM, I feel a rhythmic pulsing vibration that seems to be coming from the engine. At first, I thought the wheels were out of balance, so I had both tires balanced, but the vibration is still there. I'm now fairly confident it's engine-related.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas where I should start troubleshooting? I'd rather not start tearing the engine apart without a good reason.

My second question is about the valve clearance inspection. The service manual recommends checking the valve clearances at 15,000 km. In your experience, is this really necessary on the GW250, or do these engines usually stay within spec for much longer?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
