    Silencer fixing brackets cushion.

    Hello folks,
One of my silencers is loose at the fixing bolt. The bolt is tight but there is play in it as at goes through the rubber mounting cushion. I have taken the bolt out, it is the correct size being the original bolt and the metal sleeve through which this bolt goes is the correct original one. Neither of these are damaged but the silencer can still be "wiggled about" when this fixing bolt is tightened.. I have inspected the rubber cushion and this seems fine but have not removed it.
Is it possible this cushion may have perished inside allowing the bolt to become a loose fit?.
    The bike is 2015 registered.
I am puzzled as the other silencer is held on tightly.
    Any thoughts please.
    Ride safe,
    Cheers Mick

Check for the start  of  a crack where the exhaust joins the collector box

    Thanks for the interest.
The cushion where the loose bolt was has perished on one end. I have taken this cushion out, turned it around and refitted it.The bolt is now secure and it is not loose, it is fixed as it should be. Obviously a new cushion is the best answer.
The silencer has broken away from the collector box and has now been fixed with silencer tape.
    Ride safe everyone
    Cheers Mick
