That's even more of a difference than the 16T front.

I tooth more on the front is aproximately the same as losing 3 off the rear

So which size would you recommend?

Certainly the 15T front. If you want to go further maybe lose a couple of teeth off the rear.
That's almost as much as the 16T front but I wouldn't think you'd need to adjust the number of chain links

Why not try the 15T front then ride it, see how it feels

Hello all, im just putting it out there.  I tried the 15t front sprocket. It was ok, but i still felt the bike was reving too high. So i put a 39 on the rear. Its a different bike. Much more relaxed on the gears. They dont end in seconds. It will hold 70 mph on motorways ..think its around 9k rpm. Yes its not as zippy. But for me, an older rider, i like it. I had to take out 4 links from the chain mind you. And it does throw the speedo out. Cheers andy

I think i will order 15t 39t to gain some top speed cause 1cylinder 250 kawasaki replica is killing me on long distance and if that doesn’t work well im going to try 16t 37t

Ive fitted a 15t and it cruised nicely at 70 around 9000 rpm - Also makes the speedometer accurate.
Im running a 320 116 size chain in a split spin for around the last 1100 miles - the gw doesnt make enough Horsepower to cause an issue - just make sure you have the pin installed the correct way round so it tightens rather than loosen during rotation.

Other mods ive done -
Center stand - Makes servicing so much easier
Usb and heated grips
Hyper pro progressive springs to front and rear shocks.

Mods im planning during the off season here in the UK - ie autumn / winter
GW600f front caliper fitting - Increase braking power
2 into 1 delkavic 450mm exhaust - Love the 2 exhausts but they are weighty beasts. 450mm should give a deeper sound - Not a fan of screaming bikes.
May go a full rear shock replacement as the spring replacement felt good but a better quality shock should improve back end further
Replace original tyres with higher end rubber - Tyres are coming up to 10 years old and the bike is hitting 8000 miles.

Hi, sorry i meant 70 mph @ 7000 rpm , not 9000. If you use just the front 15t sprocket, it actually brings the speedo up to accurate. With the standard 46t but with the 39 on rear and 15 on front. 26 mph on speedo is around 30 mph.so it aint ideal. I was thinking of taking those heavy standard exhausts off. But wld have to be a two into two again. Bkack widow maybe.cheers andy

Talking of Chinese bikes? Is not our Inazuma made in China ? I consider it a Japanese bike made in China .
So that's a better bike than a Chinese one !
I know I'm stupid . Sold too many classic cars when I shouldn't have . And bikes.

Chinese bikes have certainly come on a lot in the last few years

But I'd rather buy a bike from an established manufacturer, even if it's actually built in China - or some of the other Asian countries.
I would hope that the parent companys quality controls are in place.

I've had my Inazuma for 12 years now. There are very few items where I feel the quality is below par:

The black painted sections of the exhaust, that are hopelessly inadequate for salted winter roads.
The original wheel bearings failed, probably due to only being sealed on one side
The paint on the wheels is very thin and easily damaged

Other than that, I've now covered 54k miles and it's still going strong

So my mods continue

The stock tyres replaced with Eurogrip roadhound sports tourer tyres - Absolutely superb.

Givi touring screen - i did have a puigi race screen which although looked better was diverting the airflow directly to helmet height which above 60mph was tiring.
Replaced the rear shock with a hyper pro full replacement for a gsx 1000 - secondhand refurb and after checking the mounting just went for it- What a difference - back end is so planted that along with the new tyres it just grips forever. So hard to describe how it feels firmer yet just as supple.

Replaced the front brake rotor with a goldfren floating disc for a Suzuki dr650 se as no floating rotor's officially made for the inazuma - was careful with my measurements before purchase - coupled that with new sintered front brake pads.
 They have made such a difference that im not even considering replacing the front brake caliper now - with no abs i dont want to reach a point where it is too easy to lock the front.

Shad sh23 side panniers with a mount purchased from aliexpress - they balance the bike out and suits it to the tee.

Motorbike 7 inch carplay unit with front and rear cameras - mounted to the dashboard - cabling run along the existing loom and then out thru the foam fitting around the dashboard.

I havent replaced the exhaust as it would only gain me at most less than half a horsepower and too be honest i dont like loud bikes and like the twin exhaust look

I always look at bikes but then once i ride the zuma it just feels great and fits like a glove.
