Hi, I'm new to this forum as well as new owner of inazuma. I recently bought this motorcycle, but there was a problem with it. The starter motor doesn't work but can be started by push start. So i checked the starting switch, kill switch and just changed the relay as well ( when I touch the 2 terminals of relay the starter motor works, so i thought it was the problem) but neither of them worked. It's been 2 weeks I haven't been to fix this motorcycle. Have anyone faced similar issues? Does any one know what the problem is?

Per the schematic in the service manual, there's a side stand ignition interlock switch and a side stand relay. The switch is just above the side stand and is easy to see, and should be easy to test. The relay is under the fuel tank, harder to get to. Maybe it's one of these?

Side stand switch is working fine, engine shuts off when stand is lowered when in gear. Do I still have to check the relay if the switch is fine?

I'd say no; the relay is opening the circuit when the switch tells it to.

Starter motor ground? Maybe when you give it 12V there's enough current to turn the starter, but not enough to turn the engine over?

There's also a clutch switch and a neutral switch but I assume you've checked these.

When you hit the start switch, do you just get silence or does the starter at least try?

When i connect 2 terminals of relay starter motor works, so there won't be problem with ground right?

There isn't any response neither the relay kicks nor the motor tries to turn.

There's a 30 amp fuse between the battery and the ignition switch, and a 10 amp fuse between the ignition switch and the side stand relay.

When you turn on the key, does the instrument panel "wake up" and do you hear the fuel pump?

If you get no response at all it sounds like it's one of the interlocks. If you have checked the clutch switch, are you sure it's being closed when you squeeze the clutch lever?

I'm no expert but we've talked about every component listed in the schematic. Are you sure there's no broken wire, and that all the connectors are plugged in? I'm out of ideas.

The fuse (30A?) is located on the solenoid starter.
I had to replace that once (the solenoid, not the fuse).

Part Number: #31800-48H00-000 (RELAY ASSY, STARTING MOTOR)
