    Preferred tyres?

Hi everyone, just bought my first Inazuma (2016-GW250F) last week to replace my Yamaha YBR125 as my "hopefully" reliable/affordable commuter.
The current tyres on the bike are the OE ones, namely IRC Road Winners.
My "own" personal preference for tyres over my 36 years riding is the Avon brand, which I have found give a good mix of grip and wear.
Can I ask you all for any particular brands you have tried that you feel suit the Inazuma better and any you'd wouldn't touch with a long bargepole?
    Thanks everyone :)

Hi mate, the last two sets of tyres on my 600 Fazer have been Conti Motions, and when my 'Zuma's OE Road Winners finally get down to the nubbins (9000m* so far and they're still usable, I think the buggers may well outlast me), I'll be looking to fit a pair of Contis to her. That's assuming I can get them in the 'Zuma's sizes, I haven't checked yet. The Motions are grippy enough for the way I ride and they do give a decent mileage. I also had a set of Conti Road Attacks on my Yam before the Motions and they're also a decent tyre, definitely not nearly as long lasting though and they cost me more. As for Avons, I've had them in the past on various bikes and got on with them okay, and I've currently got a pair of Avon Venom Xs on my Sportster and they've been fine.
As for you trading up to the 'Zuma from a YBR125, I was actually looking for a YBR (Or a Honda CG125) as a winter bike when I spotted my Suzuki and couldn't resist. I'd never even heard of the Inazuma before that. The downside is the Suzy is way too nice abuse as a winter hack so it looks like I'll still have to resort to poncing lifts off the Mrs next Winter. Again.

*This is assuming that they're the original Road Winners supplied with the new bike and not that a previous owner replaced the first pair of RWs with another set of the same, which I'd have thought to be unlikely. And a bit weird TBH.

Thanks RW for the Tyre info, but as you can imagine, I'm currently seeking views on those who have already tried and experienced different (Non OE) tyres on their Inazuma. That said, I am keeping my YBR125 to take me through the wintry and salty October to February each year and as for a Fazer, I've had a Fazer Thou for over 20 years now, which is predominantly my Spring to Autumn baby.

I went with a pair of Bridgestone Battlax BT46, my second choice over the Avons. The latter front size being out of stock when needed. I've 500 plus miles on this new pair and find them an excellent choice. They turn in faster than the originals and inspire much confidence in both wet and dry conditions, with no visible wear as of yet.

The Inazuma front tyre size is unusual, so if you what a pair from the same manufacturer, the choice is limited.

Remember the originals are bias ply and not radials, and as far as I am aware,  it is inadvisable to mix them.

I've always had good fortune with Avons and would have gone with their Roadrider Mk II (UK manufactured!) but can  recommend the Bridgestones on the Inazuma from my humble experience thus far.

    Good luck  :002:

Thanks for that informative answer Opel. Will take the Bridgestones into consideration when the time comes.
Funny how times have changed..... When i bought a new Honda VT500EF back in 1987, they had Bridgestone Mag-Mopus tyres and some of my friends called Bridgestone.... Slipstone!

I have just fitted a Pirelli Angel City back tyre. Good all-round handling. Price was £68.15 off eBay
