increase ride / seat height !!??
« on: August 26, 2020, 12:51:36 AM »
hi everyone :158:, I bought my Inazuma just yesterday, and this is my 1st post here, I've had post traumatic syndrome after my Kawasaki ZX12R was stolen 2 months ago :033:
I wanted 250cc twin to commute to work as I don't like the Buzz of the underpowered single cylinder 125cc.
I searched in this forum but couldn't find a thread about raising the bike up (I changed the dog bone links on my Kawasaki and that increased the ride high by 4 inchs but in the Inazuma the shock is attached to the swing arm directly), I'm thinking swaping the shock with a longer one migh do, but is there any other way or trick to rais this bike up.
and sorry if this has already been discussed and I couldn't find it.
Cheers. :028:

As you say, there's no linkage, so altering the ride height isn't easy.
If you find a longer shock, it will steepen the steering angle. Not sure I'd do that.

I like Robell's advice. I wouldn't have thought of it.

you absulotly right about the steering angle, but I though that's 2 birds with one stone as it feels slow to turn now.
my boss at work has a milling machine in his garage so I'm thinking to make a custome made cube shape like link between the shock and the swing arm

I said that to myself as well   :002:, but I needed a commuter urgently to go to work, and I found this 250cc 2 cylenders bike for sale on ebay near my house for 1100 British pounds (I think about 1900 Canadian dollers), which was a bargen as the bike is very clean. now I'm trying to find something to fiddle with it :821:
