Condensation in the oil
« on: April 05, 2020, 07:26:21 PM »
Just a word of warning, to those who only do local trips:

I've typically done 30-50 miles / day, but recently have moved jobs, so only do 3 miles each way.
This means the engine rarely gets up to full temp, esp over the winter months.

I've just drained this, it's done about 1500 miles :  :005:

It's running fine, with new oil and filter. Will have to be careful, come the cooler weather

The only thing I can think is that the manual says to let it warm up for several minutes. That's not great for mileage, but a warm engine is a good thing. Ask the little lady. Any chance a coolant hose connection is fouled? Best wishes.

My new commute is only 5 minutes. Taking the scenic route allows the engine to warm thro  :008:
