Surprising compression readings.

This might have been better under maintenance & servicing, but.....

So I received my small 10mm adapter for my compression tester today.
Let my GW250 cool down 30 minutes after a hot day of riding--90+ F.
Engine was still plenty hot.

Compression test results:  120 psig, 118 psig.
Tried a "wet" reading on the right cylinder--130 psig.

These are hella low. Manual says decent range is 185--242 psig.
Bike has about 2700 miles on it.
I just checked the valve clearances at about 800 miles. All fine.
Maybe engine is slow to break in?

Readings on my Corolla with same gauge seemed appropriate, low, but not unreasonable for 155K miles, almost decent for a wet reading, consistent with worn or gunked up rings.

Anybody take readings themselves?  (Not just a nod from dealer?)

Not tested mine.

Couple of thoughts:

1) the engine should be well run-in by now
2) The wet reading doesn't look much different, which would have been cause for concern.
