:084: Trurider - you obviously mean the Suzuki Marauder when you are referring to uncomfortable bikes?  :007:
I was born with nothing and I still have most of it left !

I've been pondering this for a while now. Yamaha and Kawasaki have both gone with 300+cc machines, likewise KTM, although that's an aberration because it's a single...

I reckon if they'd made a 'Zuma in 350 - 400cc size with a 4 valve head putting out 35 - 45 bhp they'd definitely have been onto a winner. Stretch the bore to 68mm (same as the CB500 series) and keep the stroke, you've got yourself a 400cc engine. Keep it understressed and with 70mpg+ fuel consumption and it would have been amazing. The existing frame and running gear would have been fine, but possibly need a bigger brake disc/caliper on the front. Not everyone needs a litrebike for commuting. Not everyone wants something as uncomfortable looking to ride as the MT03. The Zuma will always be an ideal commuter for me, just wish I could have a slightly bigger lump running a tad slower in the frame...

On the subject of not many around has anyone seen a vstrom 250 on the road yet.
As this is mostly Inazuma 250 , frame , engine, and associated bits I wondered if anyone had progressed onto one. It does look an ideal commuter bike , it's just still a bit expensive secondhand at the moment for me, but I might trade up to one when mine needs replacing.

Hi Riggsy,

About 5 miles from me is a Suzuki 'Small Bike Dealer' - and AFIK they've sold a few... I see quite a few on the roads round here in North Wales. It looks like a pretty good commuter for this area and seems to be relatively popular. Not sure about the rest of the country though!

Looks like I might have to come to North Wales to get one when the time is right as I haven't seen one in London yet.
The only snag might be we will probably have to have an Electric bike up London by then anyway.

How about adding 2 cylinder in a V formation and enlarging the engine to 1.340 cc and putting short gearing on it - looking the same it would be a B-King.  0 - 93 in just one gear - Second.

I clean forgot that here in the UK we have a website - HOW MANY LEFT which says how many Cars or Bikes of a certain type there are still.  Please don't look up my Mazda MX6 sportscar.  The Owners club folder four years ago as there were so few of us left.  Anyway for 2015 there are 824 for 2016 1012 and for 2017 976 and lastly 2018 919.  That's a total in the UK of just 3,731.   When I took my bike for its MOT a day or two ago the tester had neve seen one before and was a bit puzzled.  When I went to a Suzuki dealership for a Battery they could not find it on the Computer and the GSX250R is not in the Suzuki Catalogue even though they had one on sale.  What does please me that if asked most think its a 750 and it is often mistaken for a Triumph because of its size - well the wheelbase is just 2cm shorter than the Bonneville
