Sorry to keep on ......but my last post got me thinking........ACF50, cleans, lubricates, protects and keeps that fresh looking platina..
    right ?
Well my wife is getting on a bit and to be honest is probably just past her best, I want her to retain her looks and charm,as long as possible, my question is.. has anyone tried to ACF50 their wife, I can think of many advantages and not any negatives of applying a liberal coating to her through the winter ........please, your thoughts, comments would be greatly appreciated

    Same thing here,
Mine locks up quick time, I also have to think twice when applying the rear break and am always expecting the wheel to lock on wet or smooth roads,

Have done it deliberately a couple of times just to see if it was me, Like am I panicking and banging on the rear break too hard.... But no  I found it very easy to lock up even on dry roads when testing it compared to my friends bike... Now I just take it handy and try to brake well in advance,
But in an emergency I reckon the bike is going to be mashed up  :027:

Hi Tayto, yes it happened to me last night whilst overtaking some traffic and was on the wrong side of the road with traffic coming towards me, it locked up and skipped to the right, it certainly helps to focus the mind a little,I have started carrying a spare pair of underpants, ha ha ha

     :745: :745: :745:  That tickled me.. I got a horrible mental picture of the skid mark's  :005:  :745:

I have the original tyre on the back and thought it might not be gripping enough road to slow the bike down rather than try sending me to Hell by locking up as soon as I look at it,

it happens so often that the idea of letting a little air out might help... But doing that could create more problems,

Has anyone replaced the tyre for something with more grip,  :084: Or should I get the belt sander on it  :002:

Another time when taking it handy I was gobsmacked when it locked up at slow'esh speed... Cant remember the road condition at the time 'Dry or wet'  But it should never have happened,

if the time comes to sell it and the same tyre is on her I will advise the new owner to take it out on the mud to get the hang of how she holds the road  :745: :745: :745:

WARNING ! DO NOT APPLY AFC50 TO YOUR WIFE!

I did it and my next door neighbour came out in a rash all over his body - apparently he is allergic to oil, not sure why applying it on my wife's body would affect him though  :187:

With regard to the back brake locking - it will lock relatively easy on any lightweight bike - more weight on the back i.e. leaning back when braking hard could help but in an emergency situation I doubt you would think of that !!!

Just don't be so heavy footed!!  TBH though I wasn't aware Inazuma's went fast enough to lock brakes anyway  :745:

Don't do it. ACF is far too expensive and makes everything very slippy. How will she cook and clean if she can't pick up pots & pans and cleaning tools ?  :007:

Hi Robell, yes I must admit I clearly didn't think it through, ha ha ha..... but then I once again looked at the biking world and posts on here to give me a win win situation, bear with me .........
Ok some of us on here have  2 or more bikes, some for commuting, other's for touring, or some for Track days, or maybe just fast ride outs (God some even have a bike just for Posing (see Tookadum). anyway my point is this, different bikes are for different jobs ok....Well to be honest am fairy happy with the cleaning / house work aspect of what my wife does, so i thought...yes day to day, she is just like my Inazuma..... friendy, reliable, dependable, economical etc etc etc, but maybe once a week I would like to have a go on something more fast, shiny, exciting.........maybe like a GSXR 1000........I have decided to explain this to the wife tonight using these exact same simplified examples ............I will let you all know how I get on ...ha ha ha
