    Happy Shopping

Decided on the Caberg Ego but they didn't have my size & colour choice in stock so they've ordered me one...hopefully it'll be available latter in the week!

Collected the new helmet Saturday and gave it it's first outing today, about 40 odd miles, and very happy...lighter and a LOT quieter than the Shoei it's replacing, but, to be fair, the Shoei is very old (10 years?)  :002:

Speaking to a neighbour and he told me that he'd bought a Nolan 300€ and can't wear it for long duration as very heavy and hurts his neck. I think he may have bought one meant for higher speeds? I have a Kappa got it for 100€ and it is very light doesn't get uncomfortable at all.

Buying helmets is a bit of a gamble, you never know what they're really going to be like until you're out on your bike...it's all very well trying it on in the shop for a few minutes and waggling your head about...shame you can't take them out for a test ride like you can bikes!

:0461: grumpy that would be good! So far I'm happy with mine so luck was obviously on my side. Only time will tell as I start getting out on even longer rides.

:087: I'm using a Shoei Neotech with pinlock, flip up front and sun visor - Almost £500 but well worth it.

I just googled it...nice looking helmet, but my wallet went in to spasm at that price...I've bought a few bikes for less than that!  :002:

I bought a Bell Daytona (at a very good price, with large discount)...and I hope to keep it for many years, as I like it more every day...Especially now, when it has the shape of my head and is not as tight as it was when I first put it on.

But, I am thinking for another one, open, for the summer or for short rides with many stops (in the city).
