The cover on the end of the crank ?

If so, 10mm

Yes, that's the one - I was not sure what size it was and have to order a key for it - just ordered one - thank you.    :046:

Hi,

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but..

Any tips on getting a stubborn cap off?

A bit late already anyway... it stripped in excruciating fashion  :157:

Had a proper 10mm allen but thought it was a little loose when i set off.. oh dear. Thought maybe next time to remember to crack it loose with the engine hot.

Finally had to coax by hammer, a socket adapter into the gap. I guess i could tidy that up for now with a Dremel or something.

Any tips for an online shop replacement? Ebay only seems to have some Chinese shops, and some rather expensive alternatives.

Thanks fro the tips.

I contacted a couple of dealers over here. To my surprise one came back with a very decent price... $10us!

Was not expecting that, since last time they were ripping me off for the fuel strainer.

On order and should arrive by end of week.
